Project Description

Lasers are one of the most valued tools in the skincare industry and have been used for many years; its ability to perform a wide range of services in aesthetic treatments have brought them into the mainstream. Laser treatments can improve function and appearance in a variety of concerns such as wrinkles, acne, sun-damage, vascular lesions, warts, snoring and incontinence.

BOOK A TREATMENT

How Does It Work?

Lasers remove damaged skin, layer by layer with precision. The new skin cells that form during the healing process gives the skin a tighter, younger surface. If you have fine lines or wrinkles around your eyes, mouth or on your forehead; shallow scars from acne or non-responsive skin after a facelift, then you may be a good candidate for laser skin treatments.

We use the Fotona SP Dynamis Pro; a dual wavelength laser that has Erbium and Nd:YAG lasers. The Erbium targets the surface of the skin and the Nd:YAG reaches the deep tissue. In combination, they bring truly amazing results.

Available Treatments

Every treatment is bespoke and tailored to individual skin concerns and needs; carried out by our expert medical professionals.

Clinicians are using laser therapy more often than ever before to help reduce pain and inflammation related to many common conditions. Deep Tissue Laser Therapy is a non-invasive technique to help reduce pain and inflammation for musculoskeletal injuries. It is a non-pharmacological that directs high energy light at the source of pain. This light energy accelerates the body’s own healing process at a cellular level. Learn More >

Fotona 4D Laser Facelifts are a revolutionary non-surgical, multi-stage procedures which tighten skin, reduce wrinkles and improve elasticity. With two laser wavelengths and 4 treatment modes, anti-aging is comprehensively approached from 4 different levels, working on deeper, medial and superficial connective structures of the skin, as well as targeting imperfections. Ageing can lead to lines and wrinkles and a loss of plumpness and firmness of the skin. Collagen and elastin production decreases as we age and skin texture can deteriorate as a consequence. This ageing process can be accelerated by lifestyle choices such as prolonged sun exposure and smoking.

Recent developments in laser technology are now delivering a longer-lasting and scientifically proven method of restoring the natural beauty of the skin. Fractional Laser Skin Resurfacing is a laser treatment to improve and enhance skin texture and color while making the skin smoother and tighter. Learn More >

Fotona’s TwinLight™ Fractional Rejuvenation system is the gold standard in terms of skin rejuvenation and comprises three treatments in one. In the past skin rejuvenation procedures treated large areas of skin, whether aged or not. But with Fotona’s revolutionary TwinLight™ Fractional Rejuvenation method, the laser precisely targets imperfections in the skin, leaving the surrounding healthy skin untouched. Learn More >

Excess skin pigmentation or hyperpigmentation is usually the result of the overwhelming of the melanin-protective system which leads to the excess production and clumping of melanin, and the appearance of brown or darker spots of pigmentation in the skin. This can be caused by UV radiation, hormonal changes, exposure to certain medications, chemicals or other skin conditions.

Nearly everyone knows: from the mid-40s, skin starts to droop, wrinkles gradually develop – the typical signs of age appear, such as drooping eyelids, lip wrinkles, crow’s feet, neck wrinkles, but also age warts, liver spots or xanthelasmata and fibromas.

Our innovative laser treatment comfortably heats the deeper layers of skin contracting the collagen and stimulating fibroblast activity, resulting in firmer, more elastic, SMOOTHER skin, minimising the appearance of wrinkles and skin laxity. Learn More >

As we age, our skin begins to lose elasticity and we begin to see the signs of aging in the quality of our skin. The decline in our bodies’ production of collagen influences the way our skin appears over the years. Aging causes dermal structures to become weaker, and lines begin to form on the surface of the skin. Another cause of aging in the body can be from pregnancy for women who experience extreme stretching and often are left with saggy-looking skin on their stomach. The good news is that loose skin can be tightened and remodelled with the use of Fotona’s advanced laser technology. Learn More >

Burns, wounds, acne, cuts, or abrasions can all cause damage to the skin. The remaining scar is evidence that the healing process has taken place.

Scars are thick, fibrous tissue that forms when skin tissue is repairing itself. There are effective methods to treat scars, but many variables must be taken into consideration when choosing the right treatment. The location of the scar, the size of the wound, the person’s age, the depth of the cut, and ethnicity are all factors. Laser Resurfacing is the ‘Gold Standard’ for scar revision. Learn More >

Using laser is a long-standing proven method to remove dark unwanted hair from the face or body. Two laser frequencies in the Nd:Yag and Alexandrite beams can address any skin type. We initially provide a medical skin consultation with Dr van der Vyver, then another consultation is conducted with the laser technician ensuring the best outcome, the highest standard of care, and the safest treatments. IntimaLase® tightens the vaginal canal through noninvasive photothermal stimulation.  This condition is generally associated with overstretching of the vaginal canal during childbirth, as well as with natural aging. The latest clinical results of IntimaLase® show a tightened vaginal canal, greater sexual gratification and significant improvement in a patient’s quality of life. Learn More >

Stress Urinary Incontinence (SUI) affects one out of four sexually active women. Incontilase® is a unique treatment, based on a non-ablative photo-thermal stimulation of collagen neogenesis, shrinking & tightening the vaginal mucosa tissue & endopelvic fascia, providing enhanced support to the bladder. This Er:Yag gynecological procedure began a revolution by enabling former surgical treatments to become ‘walk-in/walk-out’ procedures that are performed in 25 minutes. Learn More >

Snoring is the curse of any bedmate. At DermaNuva, our NightLase® (FOTONA™) reduces the effects of sleep apnea and decreases the amplitude of snoring by means of a gentle laser-induced tightening effect caused by the contraction of collagen in the oral mucosa tissue. The Erbium laser is gentle enough to be used on the sensitive tissue inside the mouth, but strong enough to provide clinically efficacious heating. This treatment requires three 20-minute sessions over 6 weeks. It is virtually painless and can be completed over your lunch hour! Learn More >

Warts are growths on the skin caused by an infection with human papilloma virus, or HPV. Warts, cysts, skin tags and keratosis can all be removed with either chemical solution application, freezing with Liquid Nitrogen or destruction with Cautery (electro-desiccation & fulguration). The more invasive but least scarring and most satisfying results come with laser removal. Erbium laser with local anesthesia is the gold standard. Two to four treatments will permanently erase any unwanted lesions. Learn More >

Laser treatments are now a routine procedure for the removal of many types of vascular concerns of the face and body. The perfect vascular solution is long-pulse Nd:YAG laser. Independent research shows that patients treated with Nd:YAG lasers see a quick and dramatic regression in vascular lesions. Most leg and facial veins will see permanent regression to a specific vein area with 2-3 treatments. Learn More >
